In the midst of the chilly spring we were having here in New York, it felt like a blessing to find myself in South Carolina for several days a couple of weeks ago. And it felt like an even greater blessing to spend some time by the water. There's something so refreshing about getting your feet wet, hearing those waves crash, and sticking your toes in the sand. Despite having the Hudson River just 100 yards from my apartment, I have to play the role of a bystander, as beaches are strangers to Manhattan. Needless to say, happening upon a beautiful, serene beach was mighty nice.
